I love that they now have an online appointment system, which makes the process much easier. I also liked that they notified me 15 minutes before my appointment so I could be ready. Although I had to wait a bit when I came back 5 minutes early, it wasn’t a big problem. Once inside, the passport renewal process was pretty fast. Even though they move forward about every 20 minutes by number, the wait wasn’t that long since I only had to wait 30–40 numbers. Also, the atmosphere inside the consulate was well ventilated. Overall, my experience was positive and I was able to schedule my appointment without any complications. I recommend scheduling your appointment at the Consulate of Guatemala!

I was surprised by how fast the process was to get my passport. Although I had to wait a bit to reach my assigned number, I used that time watching movies on my tablet. Maybe it would be good to have more staff at the beginning, but that didn’t affect my experience too much. Overall, the wait was similar to the length of a 3-hour movie. Despite a few inconveniences, overall, I’m satisfied with the service. I’m glad they gave us an appointment to avoid crowds. Although there were issues at the beginning with appointment scheduling, we were finally able to get one. Even though my appointment was set for 12:15 pm, I understand they assist many people and some delays are normal. They gave me my documents at the end, which was a bit inconvenient, but the security staff was able to help me with any concerns. Although I would like there to be more order and professionalism, I’m grateful that the consulate fulfilled its duty to assist us. Overall, my experience was acceptable and I hope improvements to the service continue. Thank you!
