It was a very positive experience at the consulate. From the moment I arrived, the security guard greeted me kindly, even though I had an appointment. Then I had a short wait and was able to see how they treated everyone respectfully. The woman who helped me was professional and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised by how the consulate operates in the United States—an excellent representation of our country. Also, there were several service windows open and we were treated with kindness and consideration. I renewed my passport for 10 years, confident that I won’t have to go through a negative experience again. I thank the President of Mexico for being aware and taking action to improve Mexican consulates in the United States. I encourage my fellow Mexicans to complain when necessary. We do not deserve to be treated in an undignified way. We already face enough discrimination in this country and we don’t need more from incompetent people like those who work at that consulate.

It was an incredibly fast experience! I called on Tuesday to schedule my appointment and they gave me one for today, Saturday. Maybe I waited a bit longer due to the Saturday schedule; my appointment was at 9:15 AM and I left around 1 PM, but I managed to process my passport. I’m very happy with the service.

It’s unfortunate—Mexico, as always. Everything is third world. “The machine to accept card payments broke down and they haven’t come to fix it.” They’re just cheap excuses! That wouldn’t fly here in the United States. Plus... making an appointment only to then wait in line, and then wait in another line and another one. I’m ashamed of Mexico.
